The project coordinator is responsible for the selection and supervision of the awarded projects. You coordinate and monitor each project and ensures the quality of the supported projects. You are the contact person on behalf of the board and you are responsible for sharing the developments of the projects with the other board members. You should have a critical eye on development assistance and you should have a clear vision on how the project should be carried out. Besides the monitoring of the current projects, you will keep your eyes open for new projects in which Students for Children can contribute.

You are responsible for:

  • The promotion and safeguarding of the project criteria;
  • The quality and continuity of the projects;
  • The establishment of new projects;
  • The communication between Students for Children and our local partners;

Core responsibilities:

  • Development, compliance and enforcement of policy regarding awarding and monitoring new projects;
  • Searching new projects which meet the project criteria;
  • Synchronising the values of the organisation with the projects;
  • Open en easy communication with the project partners;
  • Regular updates regarding projects;
  • Together with the marketing coordinator you carry the responsibility for informing the outside world about the projects’ developments

Detailed job profile:

  • Critical look regarding development work;
  • Experience with development projects;
  • Positive and decisive;
  • Clear communicator;
  • Consistent vision;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English (French and/or Spanish is a plus, but not required)

General profile:

  • Affinity with development work;

  • Resourceful and responsible;
  • Open and easy to communicate with

As a treasurer you are responsible fort he financial aspect of the foundation. You make sure that the accounting is in order. Furthermore, the treasurer is in charge of drawing up the budgets, the annual finance reports and the cash flows, such as collecting donations and the payement of the funded projects. The treasurer is the authorized representative at the ING-bank. In coordination with the secretary, the treasurer provides the donation policy and the communication with the donators.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of financial resources;
  • Administration of donator information;
  • Draw up budgets and annual reports;
  • Authorized representative at the ING.

Nuclear roles:

  • Bookkeeping;
  • Maintain contact with creditors;
  • Provision of financial updates to the Board;
  • Maintaining the financial statement;
  • Responsible for the financial annual report;
  • Financial settlement of projects;
  • Information and receivables management of donators.

Specific job profile:

  • Structured and accurate;
  • Good writing skills;
  • High command of the English language;
  • Administrative knowledge.

General job profile:

  • Affinity with development aid;
  • Being able to work independently within a group;
  • Enterprising and responsible;
  • Open and businesslike communication;
  • Sense of responsibility.
